I enjoyed a lovely lunch here when visiting the area. On a quest to find hearty, comforting food during a stressful time I happened to come across Chau Chow Restaurant much to my delight. The restaurant was clean (they displayed their "A" rating certificate for cleanliness from the state), the service was attentive, and the food was delicious. It was nice that Dim Sum was offered during the lunch hour and we certainly made some selections from that menu. To begin we were served a lovely hot tea from a pot which which was refilled as quickly as it was out. My dining mates enjoyed their food selections and we enjoyed the traditional meals offered. I would definitely return.

Authentic atmosphere, mostly Asian people filling the tables. Nothing fancy but they do have steam carts! Most dishes $5.50-6.50. Their website says opens at 9 am. Yelp says 11am. We got there at 10:30. Several tables were full. When I asked for greens, they told me no vegetables until 11:00. We went from there to the zoo. Not too far. Made for a nice day. Right off 93, easy to park.

The food was fairly average for dim sum. A lot of the food tasted like it's been out for a while, but that's part of having less customers that are eating the food (so the food is stuck in the carts for a while). The service was really good with the manager being super attentive and delegating the dim sum cart ladies to tables for food. It feels different from Chinatown, but it's very standard for a dim sum restaurant. They have a tv playing a nfl game on the Sunday afternoon that I went which was a fun surprise. Parking is fantastic, always great when I don't need to pay for garage parking to great taste in Chinatown.
